Southern Hawker (Aeshna cyanea)
A bit of a loner and normally seen individually.
Males are a dark colour with yellow/pale green markings on their thorax and pale green spots on the abdomen except at the end, which is blue.  There is also a rarer version with all the spots on their abdomen being blue.
Females are a bright green and brown dragonfly and one of the most obvious when flying around.  When immature, they tend to have pale blue markings on their abdomen and a pale yellow thorax.
Can be confused with Migrant and Common Hawkers
