British Dragonfly Society
BDS is the main society in protecting dragonflies and damselflies in Britain.
They do work to conserve them and their habitats as well as keep a database of all recorded sightings reported to them.

Recorders Of The Avalon Marshes
RoAM exists to record the wildlife of the Somerset Wetlands and the wider area, particularly focussing on the less obvious or rare flora and fauna.
This includes from 2025 a dragonfly survey for various sites.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds
The RSPB has 4 sites across Somerset, 3 of which all are based in the Somerset Levels and all are good for Dragonflies and Damselflies.

Somerset Wildlife Trust
SWT has many reserves across the county encompassing multiple habitats.
The best of these for dragonflies are the 2 in the Avalon Marshes, Westhay and Catcott Nature Reserves.
