Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta)
A common summer species in Somerset and the last to appear of the season, appearing around late July.
Males have a dark abdomen with blue and brown spots.  The thorax is brown with yellow strips.
Females are brown and yellow.
Can be confused with Common and Southern Hawkers.

Likes still water area, so ponds / rhynes /wetland areas.
Very common in the Somerset Levels but likes ponds higher up.
